  FREE VEGAN STICKERS
  temporarily NOT available

October 2004: The free sticker offer is temporarily closing down again. Please do not send any more requests for free stickers via the mail or e-mail until further notice. Envelopes postmarked any later than October 2004 will not be honored, and your postage will be used to send kindness to strangers.

"Why Lauren", you ask "are you not offering stickers right now?" Well, the main reason is that the popularity of the offer has skyrocketed and I'm receiving more envelopes than I can afford (monetarily or time-wise) to fill. The secondary reason is that my patience is being tested by people who don't follow the few simple rules. All I ask is that you follow the rules and I'll send you some free stickers and other goodies, but that seems to be too much for a lot of people. In case you didn't read this part all ready, you can get stickers directly from PETA for cheaper than the cost of postage to send me an SASE. Packs of stickers start at $1 with no shipping fees, and postage to me costs between .74 and $1.48. Plus, they can respond to your inquiries faster than I can, so if you're here looking for cheap tools for animal activism, I can not stress enough how much you should be contacting PETA! Also, Vegan Outreach is a great website if you are a new vegan looking for info or want information that doesn't come from PETA. Their literature is excellent and you can either download it for free, or order some to pass out. I know how hard it can be to put your money where your mouth is, but consider how a small amount of money can make such a difference. Don't go out to eat for one month and save about $10-$50 and spend that on vegan literature. Passing out those brochures and flyers can mean more people adopting cruely-free lifestyles and saving tons of animal lives. Your few bucks can really save lives!

Until later,
Lauren

Here's how to get your free stickers (when the offer starts again):
1) Send a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) with sufficient postage to cover the amount of stickers you plan to use. (1 stamp will get 1 oz. of stickers, and 2 stamps will get 2 oz.) Please, no more than 3 stamps, so that everyone gets a chance to take advantage of the offer. Try not to use the really small envelopes! Please also write my return address on the the SASE, as that saves me loads of time and writer's cramp! (Not sure what a SASE is? Here's a diagram for you youngins'.)
2) Send me an e-mail and tell me how you plan to use these stickers, but don't wait for a reply. I don't have time to write everybody back, so just send your e-mail and then send your envelope. (I absolutely promise not to send you spam or tattle on you. I'm just trying to chart how and where these stickers will be used.) Extra brownie points if you remember to say please and thank you : ) And if you happen to have a digital camera, take pictures of your guerilla activism and e-mail them to me to post here!
3) No really, did you remember step 2? At the top of this page is a list of people who only did 1 of the 2 steps required, and as such, will not be receiving any free stickers. Don't let this happen to you! I'm only sending out items to people who tell me (via e-mail or an included letter) how they will be using the stickers. (The logic goes, if you are incapable of taking the time to write me a few sentences, you're probably incapable of taking the time to actually post these stickers/flyers/brochures in visible places.)
4) No need to e-mail me asking "can I get some stickers?" or asking if the offer is still valid. YES, you can get stickers if you are; located in the USA, provide 1-3 stamps on a SASE, are an individual (not requesting on behalf of an organization), promise to post these stickers in visible places, and e-mail me your plans for use of the stickers. I gets tons of e-mail about this offer, and answering the same questions repeatedly takes a lot of time. Please help me out by reading the above. Thanks!

Here's a list of what all the stickers say and any websites that they may mention:
